City of Dryden

The City of Dryden Ontario and its community-of-interest (population 14,919) will be the initial pilot community for TecVana.  Dryden will champion the community aspects of the TecVana model.  The Dryden Development Corporation states;

“The City of Dryden is faced with critical challenges in one of their leading industries, forestry.  However, Dryden is poised to be a major player in the tourism economy and to do so we believe it will require this type of strategic and innovative thinking as exemplified by the proposed TecVana technology solution.  Innovation-led economic development is a refreshing shift from traditional strategies.  In an environment of global competition TecVana’s solution is a strategy that the DDC needs to support and be part of the facilitation process in order to develop the product”.

The Municipality of Machin says that “we agree that the concept of TecVana has great potential for economic development opportunities in our area and strongly lend our support”.
