It’s More Than A Game
It’s Empowerment! It’s Game-Driven Marketing. It’s “Real Life” gaming and it is part of an industry that is on an exponential growth curve. This is what the students of Fanshawe are developing for the outdoor industry. As stated by one group, “it is our goal to motivate and inspire people to get out and explore Canada’s great outdoors”.
In fact after listening to the alpha presentations it became clear that the power of gaming is in its capabilities to make fun of learning, buying, exploring, networking, living in a virtual yet real world, of wanting to go from the virtual to the real world, about having information on your favorite activity at your finger tips all the time, about sharing and involving friends, providing sponsors an exciting way to reach you as an individual and most importantly of all, about engaging with our rural communities.
In the very near future we will be posting all of the games being developed by the students on our web site for you to view, to vote for your favorite and to have a chance at winning.
